Celebrating Elizabeth and the Magnolia Fairy!

Elizabeth Magnolia Fairy yoga book for anxiety in kids | Kids Yoga Stories

Kids Yoga Stories Celebrates Yoga Book “Elizabeth and the Magnolia Fairy” Winning a Prestigious Family Choice Award

Kids Yoga Stories is a Boston-based company working to encourage kids to explore yoga in a fun and carefree way, through a series of kids yoga books and other kid-focused yoga resources. Most recently, Kids Yoga Stories celebrated the exciting news that one of their newest kids yoga books, Elizabeth and the Magnolia won a Family Choice Award for 2019. For over twenty years, the Family Choice Awards has recognized the best products, services, and resources for families. This award is one of the most coveted, family friendly consumer awards in the nation.

Kids Yoga Stories, who offer many fun books incorporating yoga into their lessons, recently released Elizabeth and the Magnolia Fairy to help children address their anxieties.

“It’s always wonderful to see our work being appreciated, both by our valued readers and by something as prestigious as the Family Choice Awards,” commented Giselle Shardlow, owner of Kids Yoga Stories and author of Elizabeth and the Magnolia Fairy. “We look forward to bringing our readers more yoga resources and engaging characters that will get kids moving, learning, and having fun.”

“We don’t seem to know the source—whether it’s our overscheduled lives, increased screen time, or world events,” say Shardlow, “but children experience unhealthy amounts of stress and anxiety. Anxiety often takes over their lives and affects their schoolwork and relationships.”

In this fairy yoga story, Elizabeth is paralyzed by her fear of the ropes course at the playground. Then she meets a fairy who embodies the yoga principle of single focus and encourages her to take one step at a time. Elizabeth conquers her fear and inspires readers to tackle their own anxieties.

Welcome

I’ve been practicing yoga practically my whole life, and after I became a mom, I fell in love with the idea of sharing yoga and mindfulness with my daughter. Read more.
