12+ Brain Break Videos: Music, Mindfulness, and Movement Videos for Elementary Classrooms
As a fellow teacher and yoga educator, I’m with you on the importance of meeting children where they are—especially during classroom transitions or those wiggly moments between subjects.
Recently, I’ve been working as a substitute teacher in kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. I’ve been leaning into the convenience of brain break videos that incorporate music, mindfulness, and movement to create calm, connection, and positive energy throughout the day.
Whether it’s to help students settle into Morning Meeting, take a mindful moment after recess, or re-energize with a brain break before math, these videos have become my go-to resources.
I love seeing students light up when they recognize a favorite song or settle peacefully into a breathing activity. I hope these suggestions inspire you to bring even more intention, rhythm, and calm into your own classroom!
