Kindness Yoga for Kids: A Simple 5-Pose Flow to Celebrate World Kindness Day

As we get closer to World Kindness Day on November 13th, I’ve been reflecting on the small moments that soften our days—those tiny acts of caring, offering help, saying thank you, or simply pausing to be gentle with ourselves.

When my daughter was little, we used to practice “kindness moments” at bedtime; we sent kind thoughts to ourselves, each other, and the world. Now that she’s a teen, I see how those early practices planted seeds. Kindness shows up in the way she treats her friends, how she reads the emotions in our home, and the comfort I feel when she reminds me to take a deep, settling breath when I need it.

Kindness is something children feel through experience. And yoga is one of my favorite ways to help children embody those heart qualities right within their own bodies.
