I love Bali.

I love the friendly people, breathtaking countryside, easy-to-learn Indonesian language, and the colorful traditions.

My adventures in Bali were the inspiration for this yoga island-adventure book, Hello, Bali.

I have fond memories of exploring this Indonesian island on a scooter, talking to locals in the town centers, lazing around on the beaches, visiting the sacred temples, attending Balinese dance shows, going on a dolphin trip, hiking through the countryside, shopping in the busy, colorful streets, scuba diving with sharks, and watching the glorious sunsets.

All of these images are brought to life through movement in this Balinese-inspired yoga book.

This week, we officially released Hello, Bali as a complement to the popular yoga bedtime book Good Night, Animal World (check out its fifty reviews here).

In contrast to the calming yoga poses of the bedtime book, Hello, Bali features energizing yoga poses perfect for the beginning of the day.

A yoga story inspired by Bali titled Hello, Bali by Kids Yoga Stories

About Hello, Bali: A Kids Yoga Island Adventure Book:

Anamika, one of the Yoga Kids, takes a journey to the magical Indonesian island of Bali in this Kids Yoga Stories book. She and her family live in Delhi, India, and in this energizing good-morning story, they visit Bali on vacation.  She meets surfers, dancers, and shopkeepers.  Share in her excitement as she sees monkeys, dolphins, and statues.

Along her journey, Anamika demonstrates the yoga pose matching the bolded keyword on each page, just like in our other yoga stories for kids.  The poses are suitable for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners.  You can follow along by acting out the book with your children as you read the story.  At the back of the book, you will find the list of kids yoga poses, a map of Bali, basic Indonesian phrases, and a parent-teacher guide.

They will benefit in a few ways – one by learning of different parts of the world, another watching children find calm in a way that they can emulate and lastly see another version of what we have tried at home. 🙂

We have the Good Night Animal World yoga book and it is perfect for calming ourselves down before bed. Yoga helps my kids quiet their minds, especially after a long day at school and daycare.
